Thanks, Foodie, for sponsoring this post.
Pumpkin and I have a longstanding, passionate relationship. Like many of you, however, I’m not a fan of pumpkin pie. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll eat it — with homemade whipped cream, please — but it feels like a tired way to use my favorite squash. He deserves better, don’t you think?
Below I’ve assembled 15 Thanksgiving pumpkin desserts that would look beautiful on your holiday table, and there’s not a single pumpkin pie among them. Check the caption of each photograph to see the difficulty level of the recipe. As a bonus, click through the slideshow above to see Thanksgiving side dishes from some of my favorite blogs.

November 24, 2014 at 2:31 pm (10 years ago)Usually I only like maybe one or two things in a “collection,” but I found myself saying “OH MY GOSH!” (really loudly in my head) while looking at pictures of each thing in this collection! The Gooey Pumpkin “German” Skillet Cake really put me over the top. Totally pinning this collection!
