Yes! A love of sharing is why I work hard to create recipes, photograph them, and post them here. You get to view all the material I create for free, but I do get paid by advertisers when you visit — it’s a great system! Feel free to share my posts and invite friends to view Willow Bird Baking. However, if you share in the wrong way, it can hurt my ability to make a living.
What can I share?
You may share (on any social media site, blog, etc.):
- Links to my posts.
- Pins of my posts on Pinterest.
- One of my photos with a link back to WBB.
If you make a recipe, feel free to rewrite the recipe in your own words (add your own notes and experiences!) and share it on your blog. Please just leave a link back to WBB as the source.
What can I not share?
You may not share more than one photo from a post and/or the full wording of my recipes.
For instance, do not post one of my photos on Facebook, Tumblr, a message board, your blog, or Pinterest with the full recipe in the caption. Then people wouldn’t bother coming to the blog and seeing my hard work for themselves (and helping me get paid for doing it!)
It’s simple.
Think to yourself, “How can I share in a way that helps direct people toward the creator of this content instead of funneling people away?” That will help you share legally and kindly.
